Converted to rear wheel drive?

I saw one of them on the back of a truck getting on the freeway at Springwood to head south, wondering what it was. Looked pretty cool.

don't need RWD, you can drift an Evo with AWD. tonnes of them in Japan.

Actually all those are RWD conversions. However all u need to convert an Evo to RWD is to disconnect a few connectors and cables under the car. Thats all it takes.
However the GTR's and WRX STI's have a switch in the cabin that does the same thing so u dont need to get under the car to switch to RWD.

Note: I am talking about the evo 9 here, so I dont know if it still applies on the evo 10, but im sure it should.

Just a quick note, the LSD on the rear drive would make it a bit easier to get sideways :)

they fully converted to RWD and they even have one car that they changed the way the gearbox and other stuff sits so it has six gears in reverse.

i work with a guy who knows the guy they got to do all the work on the cars he was in their workshop the other night and said they just had another 2 evo ten's just sitting there for spares.

Look what I just found XD

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34ZE1D5Bppw

A 10 minute long view of the hollywood stunt driver show.

It also confirms that the X's are RWD converted (check out the lancer's front wheels to the right of screen at 3:50)

RWD lancers with LSD's FTW! lol

*edit: I have a copy saved on my HDD if it gets deleted from youtube.

I saw this show last time I was at Movie world. Its an awesome show. Defiantly a lot better seeing it in person then on video. I would like to know how many tyres they go through. That's all you can smell the whole time is burning rubber and the heat from the flame. What Kim said its amazing!
