Why not just change the uploader to resize photos.

That is the good thing with the image hosting sites.

Dumb question - how do you prevent members loading large files for their avatars ? Can the same method be used for pic posting ?

You may notice when you post an image from one of these services that the URL of the image will change, this is because these images are still detected but now they are uploaded locally to the ClubCJ server to avoid future dead images.

Good change- glad to hear it. Not too sure if it's the best idea that it automatically downloads off imageshack onto the ClubCJ server (and I also wonder what the copyright implications could be here) but it sounds good from an end user perspective compared to the previous blockage which actually resulted in me stopping posting as I couldn't be bothered trying to rehost images.

Hosting them in itself can be copyright violation- why do you think sharing mp3s via Kazaa/Limewire was illegal? Even if you don't knowingly do something, it doesn't mean it's not violating copyrights.

On another note which I can't validate at the moment since images are blocked on my work internet, doesn't the ClubCJ uploader automatically put the ClubCJ branding on any images uploaded?
