Yeah....I don't know anything about cars. I am on here coz I love Lancers and I like to have a bit of fun in the games section. So I don't think the posts for that should be taken away. Other wise I will be angry Ashley!

Not sure if it has been suggested yet but thought I would throw this idea out there anyway.

I think a ClubCJ windows sidebar gadget would be cool that shows the last X amount of active topics.

Save opening the web browser and logging in all the time etc...

How's about a Club CJ on-line store?
For group buy's and clubCJ merchandise?
It would save a lot of threads which get lost in the system an constant PM's.

The easier items are to purchase the more people will buy. I understand logistics could be a problem but it could possibly make alot of money for the club and save time for the Senior Mods and Buyers.

Just a thought.....

^^ Ive been pushing for that for a long time. I really think it would help ClubCJ run more efficiently and give less hassles for Mods and Admins...

Isnt there some sort of template that we can get online and just upload it to the ClubCJ server?

If RRM uses it, that's more than enough reason for us NOT to use it.

Personally I do not like the hassle of handing credit card transactions on my website so I have the shopping cart on my website then I transfer the customer to my banks website for processing of the payment.

Matt seems to have fixed the issue. I don't have his phone number so I told lzy_eye to SMS him about it for me hehe

Upgrade to phpBB3!

Setup a Wiki (there's a neat script that integrates the users from phpBB into MediaWiki, I have experience with this if required).

Wiki's are an excellent tool for communities like this, all the how to's, FAQs, guides, specifications etc can be put into a wiki and they're much easier to manage/search than forums. The collaboration is awesome and with a dedicated community like CCJ you can be assured within minutes it will start populating and people will be adding all sorts of useful info to it.

As I mentioned the user accounts can integrate seamlessly so you don't need everyone to make a new account just to access the wiki. User groups from phpBB cross over to MediaWiki easily too, so you can maintain whatever hierarchy currently exists.

I have had experience with this and I am happy to help set it up or get the ball rolling if required.

EDIT: Online stores are quite easy to setup too, a PayPal gateway requires minimal effort and takes a lot of the hassle of payments away. CCJ wouldn't collect any credit card information as PayPal can handle it all. PayPal is also great for donations and memberships too. ZenCart, osCommerce - plenty of good solutions available.

A blog would be neat too, with 'official' news with meets, new group buys, stuff like that. You can have it on RSS so people wouldn't miss important information that sometimes gets swamped with the other posts on the forum.
