A lower control arm upgrade kit, some replace the subframe also.

Damir wrote:a guard roll for the rears is a must. you might struggle fitting the meisters as they are wide and a moderately aggressive offset.
if you plan to splash out then try and get some rear camber arms (megan racing are the most commonly used around here) and lower the car quite a bit to achieve some natural camber as well.

the d9r with +38 offset will be fine with just a roll

Thnx heaps for the advice and appreciate the time!

Hey guys, I’m looking at getting a second hand set of Avid Av-01’s, sized 18x9.5 +35 with stretched 225/40r18‘s. will these fit on my 2009 VR sedan? Cheers

im not too good with offsets, but the width of 9.5 most not fit without adjustment to the guards. BUT you CAN make them fit with some effort
there is a guy on FB who runs 9.5's on his VRX and he needed an alignment to give the car camber to slightly tuck into the guards as well as having them rolled

9.5's look good if you put in the time to do it properly. to put the size into context:

i Run 18x8's with stretched 215's and they poke about 4mm out of stock guard.

if you rolled the absolute bollocks out of the guards and have some camber, maybe?

would wait for bumblebee or someone better with sizes to confirm this though, im purely going off a guy i know off FB and comparing against my size rims

Cheers Ronan, ahh alright, I was looking to go for 18x8’s but this is too good of a deal! $850 for the set, and perfect condition. But I guess I’ll hve to keep looking :(

like i said, if you are willing to camber and roll guards, go for it, worse case scenario you sell the rims for what you got them for (maybe a bit more) and buy new ones

entirely up to you

Those are more Evo wheel/tyre specifications.
The short answer they won't fit without adjusting your guards and suspension geometry.

I suggest you look for a wheel less than 8.5" and offset between 35-46 and stay with 225 tyres.

I'll say one thing that yellow paint on the trailer makes a great safety feature.

Wait til you see the rails I'm working on for the top!

The big thing that is needed is new springs and tires before it goes any long distance at speed.
