Are you going up thunderbolts way from Gloucester to Walcha. I went that way to qld. It's a good drive. There is a good lookout near the end of it for some good pics.
I was going to go up oxley highway from port mac on the way back from qld but but was going to make the trip so much longer but I would like to give it a go one day. Let me know what it's like.

Yes we are coming back from Port Macquarie via Walcha and then down Thunderbolts Way. I'll let you know what it's like.
