I'd say that the bonnet is more likely to be responsible for breaking the glass - considering the bonnet has gone through it!

Bandit is correct. The air bag did not break the windscreen.

But do note the location where the airbag comes out. So I was right after all haha

Superintendent Chalmers wrote:More and more people aren't insuring their cars now-a-days simply because they can't afford to. Depending on his age (21-24) it would be around $1200-1800 a year and thats more than people can manage,

And unfortunately the reason why it is so expensive to insure your car these days, especially for under 25's is because of morons such as this one. If he had of plowed into another car then the other car's insurer would have had to repair their car and chase him for payment costing them legal fee's etc etc etc.

I applaud the new speeding laws in NSW in helping remove those few that ruin it for the rest of us from the road.

Wtf?? So his parents shell out 70k+ & dont have the intellect for an extra few grand to insure it? Or at least boy racer had to cough it up...These people must have more dollars than sense.

Well he walked away with his life, so hope he got a lesson out of it & will make good & pay his parents back after remaining balance from scrap.

Speaking personally, couldn't have that on my conscience.

Anyway, should post scrap parts for sale here, got dibs on boot lid & spoiler!

I'm unsure as to the airbag/bonnet windscreen damage. In the 5th picture you can clearly see it's [the bonnet's] not even close to the windscreen. BUT you have to factor in 'initial impact' and subsequent collapsing.

The block and inter cooler look OK.... just need some new piping. It wouldn't even surprise me if the thing started up (if the batt was still there :P), didn't say it would go any ware though.

Reason I say that is coz that side is just air intake, batt, and a few other non essentials :)

Id also take the rims, there worth like 4k new or something and it would be like $200 to fix them :P
