hI Dave

That's the same set-up i'm going for.
Did you need to roll the guards at all Sam? How do you find the Falken FK452's?

You don't need to roll the guards with that set-up the only time you'll nee to roll the guards would be if your offset goes to +35. I know because that was my setup before I hade Advan RS-D replicas 18X8.5 w/ +35 off set. Now I'm rolling on Rota Grids 18x9 w/ +30 offset great stance.

Wheels: CSA Strada
Size: 18x7.5 +40
Tyres: Kumho ECSTA KU22
Suspension: Stock
Alignment: Stock
Comments: Would love some lower springs some day btu at least for now it's not too bad on the dirt. :) Just got back from a 6500km trip interstate, hit a few pot holes along the way with no damage, alignment and balance feels fine but will be checked around the time of my next service.

Hey guys,

Sorry for bumping an old thread. I've got a question about wheel offset and would like to hear your opinion about the effects of of having Evo X BBS wheels on a RalliArt.

I'm not worried about rubbing, just concerned about the difference in offset. Stock is +46 on 7 inch wide wheels while the BBS rims are +38 and 8.5 inches wide. This means the centre line of the wheel will be sitting an additional 8mm away from the hub.

What are the implications on the lifetime of the hub bearings due to this change? Is the change significant enough to cause premature failure? Does the wider tyre compensate for that? Keen on hearing from RalliArt owners especially running Evo X wheels.

Cheers!

Hey guys, Im new into wanting to stance my lancer and have no clue in rim offsets. I want the rim and tyre to stick out a tiny bit, not too much because it's illegal in Australia for the rim to pop out further than the body line and need help on it. I will be getting it lowered eventually and putting a little stretch on the tyre and possibly getting a little camber and I know you posted your rim offset above but if you could please email me your rim size and offset with a picture to show how much it comes out, i would appreciate it a lot

I was wondering about the min wheel width.

I have aftermarket rims (pic above) a couple of posts, black CJ with dirty wheels. Any way as you can see it has the optional 225/40 but I was considering going back to 215/45. Well going back is wrong as I've only used 225/40 on these wheels. So what is the ideal width for the slightly narrower 215 width?

7.5 is the ideal width for 215 or 225.

Can you guys advise me on the best offset/size for my Ralliart that'll give it a flushed look with minimal rubbing problems please?!?!? (Would like to avoid rolling inner guards as a result of rubbing)

See attached picture for available sizes.

look the lancers cant take big wheels without rolling the guards but your best bet would be 18x8 +35 with maybe minimal tyre stretch to avoid the guards

Sweet!! Thanks for the advice and also, I've attached another picture of Work wheels that has just landed in oz with size/offset, wat exactly would it take to fit??i.e. guard rolling, flaring, bigger fenders etc

Thnx heaps in advance, I'm new to forums in general and I just bought a 2014 ralliart 6 days ago and any advice would be much appreciated.

To the Most Knowledgeable member,

Attached is a picture of Work D9R wheels with 2 different offsets I'm looking to get and my question is as follows:

If you had a Ralliart with adjustable coilovers already fitted, wat offset and tyre size would you choose to have the best flushed look without flaring the fenders??

I know rolling the guards to avoid rubbing is probably unavoidable so my only concern is not wanting to flare and respray the fenders.

Thnx in advance, I'm new to forums in general and finding all these posts in clubcj very valuable :)

a guard roll for the rears is a must. you might struggle fitting the meisters as they are wide and a moderately aggressive offset.
if you plan to splash out then try and get some rear camber arms (megan racing are the most commonly used around here) and lower the car quite a bit to achieve some natural camber as well.

the d9r with +38 offset will be fine with just a roll
