Wrong rubber bit. There is a rubber piece under the damping ajustment that is between the car frame and the aluminium top plate.

WOOOHOOO!!!!!!
After over a year of trying to get this issue resolved, Mitsi finally nailed it!

Problem was...
Sway bar end links & bushes were faulty (just as others have found worldwide).

I'm stoked because Mitsubishi covered it under warranty even though my warranty ran out November 2011! Legands!

My car feels and sounds like new again! :D

If you have the same issue I had and you warranty is still valid - Take it straight to Mitsubishi and tell them how to fix the problem.

If your warranty has expired, here is how to fix the issue yourself (Thanks BR1AN for the video).

If the car is under warranty or you are not DIY orientated then yes, take it straight to your local dealer as it is a known fault.

If your warranty has expired, it's a quick easy fix (as demonstrated in BR1AN's video).

Good to see the videos helping :)

Chris and I redid this last weekend with lock nuts (basicly a nut with a plastic thread that holds it in place), needed to redo them after a few old pac runs and what not :P

So for anyone doing this in the future use some lock nuts, like $5.40 ish for a pack of 5 from Repco

Yeah the locking nuts really worked a treat. which means my creaking might actually be my steering rack it seems :/
