pharmerben, tried the red book

but remember to factor in the recent new model release by mit (activ - soup up version of ES) that has much more feature, why not spend slightly more to get that instead.

Hi guys,

I currently own an 08 ES but looking at going for an '10 Activ or VR-X.

What's the best price anyone has heard of / been offered on '10 VR-X (in CVT). Not fussed with extras (probably just tint/floor mats) but I'm aiming for $30k or less ($29k drive away would be ideal .

Second hand yes but not new.

If you want a cvt get the aspire.

You'd get a MY10 VRX in CVT with no options for 30k if you bargain enough.

I was casually offered $31490 for CVT VR-X and I'm sure I could get that for $30,000 if I pushed hard enough.. strangely enough dealer didn't have a single VR-X in stock (reasonable size Mitsu dealership) and didn't know when they were getting one in..

I would prefer the Aspire if I can find one, they seem to be quite rare but I'd love one for close to $30k. Going to have to hunt a little more I think.

EDIT: Also noticed tonnes of RA Sportsback's going for $36k.. wow.

IMO if you're going for a VRX CVT, step up to the Aspire for only a little bit more.

Greetings all, firstly, thanks for all of the prices listed. It really helped for researching. I have an 06 Lancer ES which I had the oppotunity to sell and went on the hunt for the Activ. Here's what I got (hasn't arrived yet, should arrive mid-May).
