Bassline Ambassador AL wrote:Yeh I dont know how thats possible. Straight road no traffic 30 mins of driving 7.0 at best. Usually 9.8 is the number +-2 When I got my lancer tho the gauge was out of calibration read 3L lower than true so i had the dealer reset it :/ just saying could this be the case for these crazy low numbers? Plus have you guys tuned your ecus?

Mine is untuned, only got xforce twin tip axel back muffler, and I find that I only get readings below 7 if when I start the car it shows a figure of 8 or less if not then it will be like 7.5, but I do at least 30min trips to get a reading like that coz I live out in the middle of nowhere

I always wanted to go down this dirt road near my house, coz u know these cars were designed from rallicars, so as I was going down this road, as it was dark, and my first time, tht asc light only came on when I was accelerating and was surprised how well it took the loose surface around corners, only if I had awd, would of been good fun.

P.S: and as it was dark, the road forked, but the sign said single lane bridge, so I slowed right down, saw where the bridge was, and well im glad I did slow down, not only did it deep quite abit, but there was this huge menacing wombat just death glaring me, so if I didn't slow, u can bet this post would have been different.

If you have an aftermarket panel filter and take the snorkel off the airbox you can make the intake sound louder and more throaty.

I ended up doing that cos I had to take my battery out to see whether my brother's car just had a dead battery (turned out he did) and then I immediately put it back in and then had to move my car and then noticed it. My snorkel was dirty as though so it's just drying up atm but I'll put it back in straight away, since I don't think having it off the airbox is a good idea.

Theres a thread for that, it used to be kind of common.

Theres nothing wrong with having the snorkel off besides getting hotted air (less power).
