Oh okay, it's nice to know the safety warning goes for other Lancers as well. I thought the reminder was prompting me to change the differential setting to snow mode.

In that case, did you know...

The AWC selection of tarmac, gravel and snow are merely user settings for front/rear wheel drive bias for the drivetrain?

Tarmac = rear wheel bias. Gravel - neutral 50:50. Snow = front wheel drive bias.

Front wheel drive mode will also result in better fuel consumption. Win-win.

did you know..... the early gsr evo x's came out with a vrx rear wing
and the evo that came out with the sun roof had a steel roof instead of the aluminium roof.

Are you sure this is how it works? I've read from the Evo forums that it only adjusts the sensitivity of the ACD, as in when it kicks in. It remains 50:50 torque split no matter what setting you're in.

In my 2008 lancer, when the key is in the ignition the boot release button on the key doesn't work.

" Not Lancer Related " But Need This To Drive One " Did You Know " Well I Didn't Know This :P

I went to renew my drivers licence yesterday for 5 years & the lady says OH you get your 5 year gold licence for half price , I asked how come & she says because you haven't lost any demerit points in the last 5 years .... Sweet so instead of the $ 162 I only had to pay $ 81 :)

Thanks Dora_Anne, just checked vicroads and they have the same scheme but less generous 25% discount. Our 10 year license is $170 undiscounted though. Congestion charges built into NSW licensing?

Hello Al .. OH Victoria has a 10 yr Licence & $ 170 is a fair price for 10yrs , NSW only has the 5 yr But it's heaps cheaper getting the 5 yr then the 1 or 3 yr licence , It's nice to be rewarded with something these day :)

Never thought that those road authorities knew how to give something back. But it's nice to know that we can get discounts for zero demerits. They should encourage better driving with such rewards than keep punishing violators with insane fines and loss of licence. I don't see how they will learn their lessons that way.

Yup, certainly doable. My previous Platinum 2.0 CVT got around 7.7 litres/100 km during a MEL-SYD drive with four on board plus luggage, aircon on averaging between 100-110 kph. I had 16s on that car though.
