Not my iphone, no. I have an ipod nano (last gen one without the touch screen or whatever it is) plugged into the usb all the time and my iphone hooked through my bluetooth on the car so I can call people (really love this car). The ipod works fine in the USB.

Why not go and buy a cheap USB thumb drive and put your songs on that. You can leave it plugged in then and not have to worry about it. Nice little Verbatim 8GB one for around $10 in Woolies the other day. Probably more now though. They were on special. Well the local one here had them on special anyway. But they are always under $20.

hahaaha~ that could be a way to go, but anyway, i just use bluetooth to play my songs on iphone now, just drains the battery a bit too fast.....

Just wondering if someone actually did it, to make sure i didnt do sth wrong.

Tthe thing is if you put it through the usb it's constantly charging. Whether or not that ruins the battery is another thing. With the bluetooth if you run down the battery on long trips you can always buy an ipod/iphone car charger for the lighter thing (that doesn't come with a lighter anymore lol).

I have one in both my cars. My daughter nicked mine and kept it in my old car for her ipod which she has to put through the FM transmitter. The lighter thing in that car has a double adaptor sticking out of it most of the time so that she can have the ipod charging while the transmitter is plugged in.

If you have a cheap usb or another ipod in the usb in the glovebox you don't have to think too hard about the music. It just comes on when you start the car. Unfortunately it starts the song again which means if you only do short trips you hear the start of the same damn song heaps before you get the poos and change it to the next one.

Have anyone successfully connected their iphone via USB? everytime i connect it it tells me theres no songs on my phone... but infacts theres heaps.

thanks for the help guys!

Yes, I have. I don't normally use the USB in the glove box, because I hook up with BT. However a couple of times I have wanted to charge my iPhone and I hooked it up. The songs were recognised just fine. iPhone4 btw.
