Sals had the pulley and belt done on Twatty car, he got it back Tuesday.

They've not mentioned mine, I just had 60k service two weeks ago and picked some parts up on Friday with same service department, may have to give them a call and get it checked.

I am now very less than happy with my local dealership.
Went and booked it in for the recall on Tuesday.
They said pretty busy but would do it on Friday.
I said to the girl she would need to find all the parts they needed.
Its been there all day from 730 to 230 and now Ive been told all they did was inspect it and need to order a part from Sydney?
Now i have to wait and make another booking for it to be worked on not for another week.
These people are a joke. They wouldnt even offer any means of me getting back home when I did drop the car off.

About the buy an 09' CJ, asked the dealer about this and they said if it was a recall it would have been checked, should I just good to the local Mitsubishi dealer and check using my VIN?

Thanks, don't think mine is on the list.

Starts with JMFSNCY....

Still I guess they check for this kind of thing when they do a belt change?

Craig, your vehicle might actually be affected as the * indicates any character so a JMFSNCY vehicle might be in the recall range.

On another interesting note, my car's VIN is on the recall list but is a 2012 model (potentially because it has an engine built prior to June 2011). Haven't received a letter yet but will check in with my dealer to confirm. So a heads up to 2012 CJ owners that you may not be safe!

Craig it's best to call up or go to the dealer to get a confirmation if your car is affected by the recall or not. :) Better safe than sorry (that or yay free replacement parts).
