WTF is that ESS?? What's the purpose over the existing EMERGENCY indicator button / flashes...?
Also, seems there is less and less difference between a upper spec lancer and the RA... they all get RA fronts now, similar trim... its crap.
And typical.. no HID / Projector headlights still... sigh.
And lucky I ordered the RA in June, when they still listed the warranty as 130,000km

I've been here since the start, so just to point out most of the changes Mitsubishi make with the CJ have been for the better.
Though one really cheap and underhanded move was they quietly removed the CVT cooler since MY10.

Not denying that... just wish they would be a bit more generous with the offerings... Look at Mitsubishi US, what they pack into the RA...

For all those wanting to make sure they still get 5/130km warranty make sure it's written down in your contracts before the new changes come into effect. If your car is delivered after the cut off you may get the new 5/100km.
I remember we discovered a few unhappy customers when mitsubishi phased out the 10 year drive train.

I took the road less travelled, and that made all the difference.

My understanding was, ESS is a new 'active safety' feature (that does nothing more than boosts bullshit theoretical crash ratings) flashes the brake lights and/or hazards when the car is under heavy braking. Mercs flashes red brake lights, VAG cars flashes the hazards/indicators, BMW/Volvos have brake lights light up brighter than normal. Don't know what these new MY15 Mitsubishis will be.
