So I just changed my Mitsubishi Grill Emblem from Chrome to a dark Acrylic red.

Heads up when you're doing it, get an etch primer and a good one. I used acrylic paint and had issues of it running off the emblem, and we'd also applied 2 coasts of a plastic primer, so use a good primer.

If you want to paint chromed plastic, you have to scuff it with very fine wet&dry, use plastic primer, wet rub it with very, very fine wet&dry, give it a very light base coat and then two or three top coats, wet rub it lightly with a vary, very, very fine wet&dry and then give it a couple of light coats of clear coat, and when it's all fully cured, buff it with a soft polishing cloth...

did all that except the light scruff up. turned out fine, just needed longer drying periods and an extra coat
