Thanks for the answers, it is weird how they promote them with the high k ones showing more light.

I'll check them out tomorrow, not sure if the $40 is discount price or if they will be 20% less tomorrow so just $64 to get both the HB3 & HB4 together.

Was considering taking the stock ones as spares but really what's the point? Worse case I get replacements in the unlikely event they burn out while interstate.

$64 is a good price, I paid $70 for mine (HB4 only) about a year ago. It's not too much for a try and see, you'll always have the stock globes to go back to. Only issue is the bulbs are really hard to get to, especially the high beam if you have big hands.

And I thought getting the parker lights in were hard!

I've seen the pictures earlier in this thread, shame it's on a head light which is outside the car, so much easier to do this.

So just ordered the globes from SCA and will pick them up later today, $64 paid on PayPal where I already had some money so ended up costing me about $8 from my bank account!

For the money I think yes, it's a bit less yellow which is ironic given my color theme. But if you want truly white light then I think you'll need the more expensive globes with higher k numbers.

These are 4100k for the low and 4300k in the high which is weird as in the photos above the lows look less yellow. But they go well with the parkers which I replaced not long after getting the car and the DRLs which are much whiter.

They are meant to be 20% brighter but didn't go for a drive with them at night so not sure if I'll see a difference.

Kept the stock ones, put them in the boxes these come in.

Like I said the hi beam is 4300k but looks more yellow in the day light then the lo beam at 4100k. I think these are a good balance between price and a bit more light.

Anyone tried fitting a 4x4 style light bar to their CJ?

Hey all,

Lancer bulb list for HB3 is as follows Head light, high beam: 60watts bulb: 9005 HB3

I am interested in the 500k ultimate diamond vision lights from phillips. However, they are 12.8v and 65W. Will this then not work in my 2015 GSR Lancer?

Thanks.

Just wondering the best LED bulbs for the number plate?

I know they are T10 but not sure how bright they need to be, only asking as I noticed the other night since I got the reverse camera which has a built in LED that side is white while the other is a yellow stock color. Looks a little weird and I'd like to change it.

Found some spare ones I had lying around and changed the globe.

update - when night fell I checked out them, looks better but I have noticed a dull spot because of the reverse camera (will try taking a photo tonight) the camera attachment has its own LED on one side but it really isn't enough. considering getting a small LED strip and wiring it up to fill in the gap. Its still legal right now but I want it to look better... all this work for a tiny light LOL
