Quick question guys, a mate got some LED globes for his Subie the other day for $40, anyone know if the LED's are compatible in the '09 lancers?
If so you guys got any idea what ones to go for?

i'm not entirely sure if finding some of the headlight spec. led bulb would be a match, thought i would ask first

BCF currently is doing amazing run out deals on LED bars
Their 20 inch bar is down from about $300 to just $110 and is Amazingly bright. They have two styles.there is a spot light bar and there is a combo bar that has both spot and flood in the same bar. They also come with a 3 yr warranty. Attached to the front with a bracket that bolts to the back of the licence plate.works a treat
The 20 inch bar looks great on the front of the lancer
The 30 inch is a bit big they are $158 at BCF
Slightly overkill on the lancer but if that's all the shop has then grab it you wont be disappointed

For a plug n play wiring kit get one from "Stedi" in Melbourne. Keep your eyes on them in ebay.you can get them on special delivered for about $40 or less

cool thanks, thats what i thought, thinking of buying some new 4k+globes high and low.

My LED parker (or position) lights are flickering, they are LEDs bought about 4-5 years ago on eBay. I think they are only doing it at idle but will be checking later this morning. I think they have been doing it for some time.

SCA has some for about $15 depending on the brightness.

BTW this was also noted at the service Friday.

Should they be replaced?
I know they are a bugger to get to and with my left hand out of action I don't want to do one and not the other.

Spend $30 at autobarn get the 100 lumens aerpro units
Worth every penny

Found a spare (must have been a 3 pack) anyway replaced the flickering on.
Should do for now, got the stock bulbs in glove box if needed on the trip.

Couldn't find them on the AutoBarn website, will keep them in mind next time I go past, will need to restrict my driving this week, between the leak on the water pump and my finger driving my CJ right now is not fun

First I need to ask what is the type of bulb used in the reversing lights? Looking at getting something brighter on eBay.

Also and I should have asked this sooner but relaxing on Boxing day watching some TV and online...
But how secure is the licence plate bracket? Doesn't seem to have much behind it.
Anyway before any other trips I might get something like and light bar sorted even if I leave it off the car most of the time and is just a cheap eBay one.

Cree seems to be a popular brand for around $50, some including the licence plate bracket but no wiring. But with time I can get the bits and not be in a rush to fit them.

Today is the day to get decent led bars on special from autobarn or Supercheap

The bracket behind the licence plate is quite sturdy.
At idle there is a very slight vibration on the led bar and you can see the light shake
Get it above 1000 rpm and vibration goes all together
