Front parking lights

Postby exaltd » Mon Aug 24, 2009 11:02 pm

Hi guys,

Just wondering, where can I get some front parking lights (w5w) that are LED or SMD?

I went to Bright Light Auto Parts, and they didn't have any... the lady in charge also sold me the wrong one, assuring me that the T10 wedge would fit the w5w port... i guess she was wrong! :)

There are so many on EBay, that i don't know which one to get, and I don't know where else to go to buy SMD's.

Thanks in advance.

I have T10s from bright light auto parts in my parkers and they work fine... I also have them in my number plate lights too.

I think they are the 7led ones from memory....

??? Tried fitting them in today... did not work... bought some SMD LED's from them, and it didn't fit in at all... was too big... perhaps I must try my parking lights on there :).

That's an odd one...

On another note, seems the SMD LED Festoon 31mm for the interior dome light isn't very strong (also bought from Bright Lights), any suugestions on a porduct that is brighter?

Well clearly they aren't T10s then.

T15s or T20s perhaps?

Perhaps he got those by mistake...

Brightlights should let you exchange, provided they are not damaged

I just ordered the following from brightlights

T2012V18LEDW2
31F4LEDW1PC = White
T10LEDW2P = White
T10LEDIW2P = White

Can't wait to get them in to see the difference. Someone said a few days ago when I joined that this site will start costing me $$$. :D

On the contrary if you didn't know about this site, the mods could very well cost you more.

Thanks for the advice people.

In actual fact, it was a faulty LED :). So I did buy T10 Wedges but the size was a bit off, so they replaced it for free! Now my lights look brilliant!

And yes, this site does cost u money, but it's all worth it to get such a nice personalised car! :)

Just tried to install the T2012V18LEDW2 I bought of Bright Light auto and the base is too big for the reversing lights. Possibly wrong item in the blister pack, will go look again later.

All the others loog good installed though.

Just checked again, the reversing bulb has w16w on the bulb with the base about half that of the T20 purchased.

Guess it wass the T15 (T15L2P) that I need for the reversing lights.
