Has anyone had any experience with cheap ebay head/taillight

Postby 3Mack » Sat May 30, 2015 5:05 pm

Thinking of upgrading the lighting a bit around the old lancer.

Anyone bought/seen any cheap lighting options like these? Look a bit too cheap to be too excited about.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Smoked-LED-T ... 35d687213d

Also will any license plate light such as;

work for the 08 CJ I'm rolling in?

Thanks for any advice :).

There are a heap of posts about head/tail lights. Lots of people have given views on the Mars lights

Hey mate I have both (head and tail lights) in my '10 lancer. No issues, although fitting the headlights is a bit of a pain (need to remove front bar). Just a heads up, if you install the headlights as is, they arent DRL, the led strip is just part of the parkers.

Do you think the smoked tail lights will give me much issues with the police? Being a P plater, and already coping a fine or two around town a few months back I figure it might be best not to let them think about defecting me haa.

Also how difficult would it be to make the DRL's work? Will I just need to splice them in with the headlights or something like that?

i have the mars light and have never been booked, they work great, and ive have even had complements from the cops about them so youll be fine they arent bright enough to caught any hassles with other drivers (and mars arent cheap cheap headlights)

Something like this; http://www.ebay.com/itm/LED-Daytime-Run ... 1906654435 ? Looks pretty straightforward.

And I was more referring to the tail lights and how they come tinted (described by the seller). I've been told that in Queensland you need to be able to see the brake lights visibly from 20metres at any time of day. Was hoping someone could confirm these are safe?

no need to cut there are 2 spade style plug that control the drl just unplug the negative and wire in the relay, that is for the mars performance anyway
