Picture on the 3 page of this thread, don't remember all the wiring but this one controls when they come on. Had an electrician do the final wiring to make sure it was done right. Mine are set to come on only when the car starts, so you can use the ACC without them being on. I do remember one other wire when to the parker lights so they dim when the parkers or headlights come on. Mine do not go out until I turn the car off and I've been told this is legal as many new cars do the same from the factory.

Note going back to the fuse box no doubt is the correct way to go but necessitates creating another entry into the box causing a possible leak allowing dust and the elements in, plus the complexity. So wouldn't it be easier to find a suitable hot lead and use an inline fuse.

No it doesn't create an element for more danger for things like dust etc.

It's the best and easiest option. I personally stripped back the wiring insulation and soldered on the wiring and then insulated with insulation tape.

time to get some premium plates (not sure if they are called the same as in SA)... black with white writing, the ones i have, for SA at least, the front plate is about half the height of the stock standard one and just looks so much nicer =)

but those lights look absolute class!!! love em!

As far as I know they mad a small hole in the back on my fuse box then taped the wire in place.

Should be okay. I drive a small truck for a charity and it's fuse box has had a missing cover for over a year and it's right behind the left front wheel under tray.

thanks lancer1993. mine got a purple wire instead of blue/yellow. measured with multimeter and tapped into it. works well so far.

You could always use some sealant where the wire goes in if you're worried about water and dust.

In Victoria we are lucky. slimline black and white plates, $150 includes changing rego etc , just put them on, all done.
All numbers start with "A" can't pick your own numbers, limited choice only. picture below. number, name, superimposed. :D

QLD - I think mine cost about $165 to convert my number to a 'private' one which I now own and can put on any car I want at no extra charge.

lol Looks great, like the CF backing but appears to be full size. $150 black and white plates in Vic are much smaller slim line plates.

OH WHAT!!! cost me $220 to get the black with white writing! so annoying that they cost less in other states...
We also cant choose the characters we basically get the next number in the sequence. But ours start with YY (XX ones ran out, wish i got them when they came out) and im assuming we will also get ZZ.

in SA we have the same @sarusa back plates are the standard size but the front ones are half the size and more compact, looks slick!

But @Lancer1993 is that carbon fiber look just a sticker or something else? looks dope!

No mine are slim line ones, you get a choice of normal size, slim and with or without the diamond in the middle.

we get no choice =(
its just 1 design and sizing for us, we can only choose if we want black with white writing or vice versa...
black with white numbers/letters is just more expensive...

unless we go personalized and even then there aint much choice
