I have two thoughts about any nudge type bar, safety and ground clearance.

Ground Clearance - was an issue with the nudge bar I had on my Lancer Coupe, I removed it years before I sold the car but it was good back in the day. Apart from occasionally grounding out on steep driveways. I guess no worse than a lowered car or something with a lower lip.

Safety - I'm talking about the air bag systems on the car and crash worthless, never an issue in the Coupe with no airbags or other modern safety systems. I guess its something that need to be attached to the right locations and in the right way to not make the car illegal or unsafe?

Just adding to this topic with this...
https://unsealed4x4.com.au/heard-thats- ... ng-lights/

Its a breakdown of the current rules when it comes to driving lights, no matter what form they come in. For example I didn't realise you're 'limited' to no more than 4 lights on the front of the car. Also there is no Australia ADR rule against them on the roof BUT some states don't like them and you could be in trouble. Also you can run them off your high beam without a switch, I'd still have a switch. And while the old rule was in pairs the current rules do allow for single LED light bars after they because popular.
