Another great day, laptimes tumbled and got to check out some nice CJ EVO X in the process.

Great to meet Sal, owner of the most powerful X in Aus, you gotta bring it to next years Wtac and give it a go!

Was a great day. Not too many cars running by the end.

lol, I think you'll find that both the Xs at WTAC are well over what Sal's car makes. it's quick, but when you combine more power with 300+kg less weight..... they truly are scary machines.

Great weekend it looked like, so sad that RTR's campaign ended the way it did but the important thing is Darrin (the driver) is ok.
Massive props to Tilton, and a bummer that Nemo has engine troubles all weekend and Luffy only got one hot lap. but that's the way it goes I guess!

I was watching at turn 4 at the track when the Gorilla Industries Supra went off and hit the wall at turn 5.

Darrin was following the Supra into those turns (was overtaken just before if I remember correctly), and he witnessed the crash and immediately stopped the RTR entry and got out to check if the driver was ok.
Pure class of sportsmanship right there.
Completely wrote off that lap for that session though he probably wouldn't have made it to the line before red flag came out.

Didn't see what happened to Darrin in his incident, but I hear it was around turn 5 onwards and I was in the grandstand at the time (which has obstructed view). Good to see Darrin walking around on Saturday.

Was there on saturday and it was going off.

had fun checking out all the time attack cars in the pit garage, but the show and shine area was a bit disappointing. also had photos taken with taniguchi, orido, yamada and suzuki san and i was stoked.

by the end of the day where everyone was rushing out for a lap time, i was lucky enough to be standing at scorch racing s15s garage and was right in the intense atmosphere where Taniguchi was busy switching between the s2k and the rx7. suzuki was helping out the mechanics fixing drive shaft on the s15. fell in love with that s15 even more hahaha.

PS, white cj in the general car park, with rainbowpen? lip and a side skirt extention. member here? could you let me know what that side skirt extension is?

jade and us had an enjoyable trip back home, the putty road was great and the new england was good too, it makes the road trip seem shorter when u have a couple of cars and good company.

Sal's Evo has always been about keeping it in street trim and looks. I think what needed to be added was fastest road registered Evo x in Aus.

I had a great time in Sydney, WTA was an awesome event, went to some great restaurants (thanks for recommendation Stacy the Italian was great!) and meeting the NSW and a few Melbourne members. I went home with a full boot of goodies from the Sydney markets any wonder I had some scrapage happening on left turns. Cars been checked out, my alignment from 3 weeks ago was slightly out plus the new Nitto Invo tyres sit a but different to the Dunlop SP600's I had. Off to get rear guards rolled tomorrow.

It was excellent, except for cringing from some tyre scrapping ;-) I haven't reviewed my dash cam footage yet, I will post some once I do

doing the national park behind merlins evo 9 was fun too until i remembered i had a boot full of crockery and wasnt meant to be doing any twisties lol.

the next day i got to drive it (now i want a tuned manual evo 9), no SST for me.

dont ask me which national park it was, it went around a bay somewhere on the way to avalon.
