Viper smart start security

Has anyone heard of Smart Start from Viper?
Is it worth the AUD$550 to install it?

Come to think of it, our keys sent encrypted information over the CAN-BUS to start the car, so would the Viper system even work?

it would work as its a Canbus alarm system.
there are a lot of alarms out there that are canbus suitable or alarms that you can use a Canbus module to then tap into the cars Can network

Thanks for that.
I don't have a problem with the lancers current alarm system, haven't as if to say "had it tested" yet.
I like the idea of being able to control my car from my iPhone though, means I won't have to carry my keys everywhere with me
