If it was as easy as a resistor in a box to get +3MPG and +10hp don't you think everybody would have one?

I reckon it's just a 'mere puff' to be honest... load of marketing rubbish to buy what looks like 'stage 6 rubbish'...

If i was to buy one, i'd go for the RRM ECU piggyback system... at least you can be sure that they have done proper testing and have proper benefits...

Basicly how a MAF works is by sending a voltage from the sensor to the computer as air gets colder (denser) the current is increased in turn the ECU adds more fuel to to engine. Hot air decreases the current and in turn reduces the fuel. So the MAF and O2 sensors work together with the ECU to produce the correct Air/Fuel ratio as programmed.
Now those chips are resistors as Sir-VRX has pointed out, a resistor increases the current, So now you have the ECU thinking its getting cooler air.

There are loads of piggy back ECU modules.. I can only speak from my motorcycling experience, with items such as PowerCommander USB III and other mapping units... they do work, but add little power. They aim to either richen or lean areas of your mapping... making the transitions between sectors more smooth. What you get, once you have dyno-ed the bike/car, is a very smooth drive and near lambda AFR throughout the range....

I am not sure if my contribution helped at all !!?!?!?!?

Echo the sentiments of all regarding the magic black boxes out there for $20 etc.. you can richen up your ride, dumbly, by even fooling around with a vehicle's TPS... But then you run the risk of fouling plugs, adding soot to your whole engine and f*ing with your valve train....

I think a Ralliart sticker or badge gives you more HP increase than this "Power upgrade"

I guess the old saying "if it appears too good to be true, it usually is" comes into effect here!!

I can't understand how they get away with selling these pieces of crap....
