Excuse the dirty engine bay

I dont think its from factory as it is connected directly to the battery from outside the main loom, similar way you would connect an amp cable or such.
it read 'computerized electronic corrosion Inf....'

Any Ideas? could this be the key to 2-stepping my throaty N/A? :lolhit:

It's an after market "corrosion inhibitor".They allegedly stop your car from rusting.

Yup
Exactly what it is.
To be honest i think its a great example of "snake oil "

Im willing to place bets your car has got rust in it already.
You could safely disconnect this device.
They usually retail for a few hundred $$ and the more expensive ones are over a grand to buy.
Aprently they work by placing an electronic charge they the chassis of the car and this scares away the water from nooks and cranies and stops rust.

Mmmmm

Doubt it.

Look after your car and clean and wash regular and any small scratches etc get them sorted out asap by a pro eg "touch up guys" or similar and dont waste your money on one of these units

It's all about chemistry.

Rust is made up of Iron Oxide (FeO). Oxygen (O) atoms are negatively charged and Iron (Fe) are positive so the idea behind the inhibitor is to provide negatively charged electrons to the iron molecules so that they don't bond with oxygen and form rust.

Yeah, rust protection device.. Won't do your car any harm (that I know of)

But, keep it on and it's a good 'feature' to spruke if/ when you try to sell your car

If my memory serves me right those were the magnets inside a res case that got attached anywhere along the fuel line.
Some people said they wored great others reported no difference.
Lol

The other odd one is the "hiclone"
I have lost count of the diesel owners from holden who swear by them and toyota diesel owners reckon they are rubbish

My car had the exact same thing on it when I bought it, except it appeared to be broken/dead, it didn't do anything when I pressed that little button. Just removed it the other day and now theres just a patch of glue or whatever the hell they used to stick it on :S

To remove glue is easy.
Eucalyptus oil for the win.
Get it at a chemist
Wont damage your paint either

That's it, I've beaten the rust into submission and now it doesn't spread for fear of being shackled once more.

And dont forget to add the dual battery system to the vehicle to keep it all power up
Dont want to not have enough power to start the car
