Hi All who were involved with the most recent dash cam group buy,

Noticed your central locking not working as it used to?

It looks like there is an issue with the Coaxial cable that connects the rear camera to the front camera, it looks like it is putting out an electromagnetic field that is interfering with the remote.

I have been in contact with Pittasoft to see if I can get some information regarding this but while I wait for their response, I have disconnected the rear camera.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to block this EMF I'm up for suggestions.

Get a decent cable that's magnetically shielded. Sounds like that skimmed on the cable and got some cheap and nasty shit.

No real fix other then getting a better quality cable

From my understanding the coaxial cable for the rear camera also supplies power, so not really a standard coax. cable I don't think.

Thanks for the suggestions Brendan, running a lower guage cable isnt really an option though, don't wanna affect the bandwidth of the cable.

Hey jordan, I have just installed my DR550GW-2ch a few weeks back and it runs fine??

I ran the cable from the rear camera via the headliner > C pillar > door sill > B pillar > door sill > down the A pillar, where I did a service loop (behind the glove box) then back up the A pillar > front headliner to the front camera.

This was all done on the passenger's side.
