From my knowledge only overseas models have a speed alert.

However Melbourne based company Bluewire Motorsport sell a speed alert that can be fitted to pretty much any car.
$99+Post

has a Heads up display which is shown on your windscreen too. When looking at these devices one thing to look at is, can the unit have multiple settings or do you physically need to change the set speed limit and what it the process of doing so.

They have a full installation video so if your keen to do the install

Not an answer, but -

You can always do the trick with the 'average speed' display on your dash....

Reset that average speed page while moving and you'll get your exact speed for that precise moment.

Do you or anyone else have knowledge or a link to this?

If so I would attempt to fit to my car and write a "How to".

Aspir3 have limited knowledge on the overseas models that have the speed alert. Apparently quite a standard feature in numerous overseas places.

As with the aftermarket one I've seen go to
bluewiremotorsport.com it has all the details and a good 10min+ video on installation too.

The unit looks quite good, and the way it displays your current speed on your windscreen is handy, so no need to look down at your speed etc

The good old Magna did have a speed alert. Quite funny it didn't soldier on to the Lancer, especially in a country where speeding is like murder.

If you drive a manual its pretty bloody obvious. Idk why its so hard to look at your speedo though...

^^agreed

its not hard to keep an eye on your speed while driving around town. if these cars had a speed alert i would most definetly keep it off
