I have purchased an air/fuel ratio gauge and am curious as to where to wire the signal wire from the gauge to. i was thinking that i could wire it to the heated oxygen sensor signal wire. will this give me the correct reading that i am after? if so does anyone know the colour of the signal wire off of the sensor?
cheers guys

Usually the gauge has it's own O2 sensor that gets installed into the exhaust

AFR gauge is basically useless without a wideband O2 sensor. Factory O2 sensors do not have the resolution required to make them work accurately. If you are concerned about your ratios being out, Jaycar do a cheap kit that
lights up LEDs to tell you if its dangerously lean or rich. Better still, just take the car for a proper check if you think its wrong.

Using a narrow band is no good. You need a wide band with its own sensor
