Drivers window problems....

Postby Dungogvolts » Wed Apr 18, 2012 9:38 am

Hello everyone, Yesterday I had the driver’s window close while I had something, idiot friends arm, on the glass. It stopped when the idiot's arm hit the door frame but now the window will not open or close fully in one go. What it does is go up a little bit stop and does this in three positions and visa versa when closing. I have to keep using the switch instead of just the once. My question is…is there a quick fix without having to pull the door apart like some sort of a system reset? Oh and how do I fix the service interval readout to read the correct months to my next service? It’s saying 24 months when it should be 12 months.
If this is the wrong forum could someone please move my post or inform me which one it should be in.
Thank you.

You'll need the dealership to fix the service intervals. Or someone who has the correct equipment.

As for the window, try disconnecting the battery for 15 mins and then reconnecting. This tends to reset a lot of the electronics.

Try holding the wind down button for about 15s (I think). This should reset where it knows the down position is. Then press and hold it all the way up and hold it there.

Someoen else will have to confirm how to reset the window switch but its something like that.
