Hey Josh
I asked my son about this and apparently his plates weren't easily seen from outside his car
They were too low and a bit faded so that explains the fine
It is a shame about the points though - thanks for clarifying this for me

Good to hear It, hope nothing of this sort happens in the future but glad to know what to/ what not to look for in getting P plates etc (even though I don't have to use them).

placing the P inside is illegal in nsw but its not one of those highly enforced laws. back when i had them they simply wouldn't hold properly in the front plates and whenever i put them in a mount they would fly off. back then i also shared cars so it was simply easier to flick them into place. if the other driver got in the car then they could easily see the plates and remove them.

plus they tend to get stolen on the outside

if someone gets a ticket for that they're really unlucky or they've done something to pee off the cop. for one, the rear one is still seen clearly. the front isn't such a huge issue ie: you hardly ever look backwards driving

speaking of p1, p2 and l's, how many hours/years is it now?

Well we over here have "L's" and when I had it it was on my windscreen. I never suggest sticking it on my bodywork.

And apparently you must have a good driving record to move onto P2s otherwise it's another 6 months on your license. Sucks to be a learner now!

Everyone i see on the road automaticly sees learners as nusiesence. Im usaually the one swearing and beepin my horn at people because of their mistakes

At least now when i think about it...my p's are only next year.

Once i get on my p's....ROADTRIP!

Ill admit, I speed a little bit but i dont do it around residential streets, main roads ect. theres a road that leads to my house, speed limit is 60 but i do 80. Mainly because i can see exactly what coming towards me and it would be illegal to park a car anywhere on that street because it would be a danger to other drivers. I know theres no excuse for speeding, but i dont take unnessacery risks when driving

Ill do a quick question to see how smart you guys are

What does 2 solid lines in the middle of the road mean? What cant you do?

hahahaha Tadz cant cross em for ANY reason, why? (thats qld)

and yeah im the same - i take risks, but not stupid ones (i wont use the word unnecessary cos no risk is necessary, but there are risks which sorta..arent risks..like its 99% going right lmao)

Lol im just testing you guys. I read the learner book like 3 times coz i was full worried i was gunna fail my test. I got one question wrong on a technicality on a bloody parking question.

People know what they are getting into when they speed, they know the risk and if something were to happen, say if you were to hit someone, you gotta live with that for the rest of your life...thats on your conscious. I physicly couldnt bring myself to speed in like backroads n stuff. the risk is too high
