Hi,

I scored a RA front & hood for cheap a few weeks ago & it is getting installed friday,

I have everything on the front bar except the chrome trim,
I would like to try my best *not* to spend $250 on a chrome trip..

So do any RA owners know how wide the ring is?

I would like to see if I can get away with retro-fitting the 'chrome arch moulding' instead.

I'm painting the surround black anyway so it doesn't need to be 100% accurate,

I would just be interested in knowing the width or the factory trim so get the same look

yeah, they will erin, u have to drill a couple of holes (already half drilled).
main downside is OEM EVOx wing will set u back anything from $1700 up approx.

Anyway this thread looks like the right one to ask the question. So Ive managed to get hold of a front tower strut bar from a written off Evo. Will it fit onto my standard Active front towers?

Hey man it will fit 100% Ive got one in mine.

I need the chrome lining for the front bumper of my Mitsubishi Lancer Sports Sedan ES CJ 2013 MY14 new model - Only the chrome lining is cracked and broken. Can somebody let me know where I can buy this?

Thanks

Genuine only...so will cost a fortune and a pain to replace...evidentally you have to take the whole bumper off to replace it properly. Non genuine (ie Chrome body molding) can look a bit dodgy.

I must say I'm a little sad now, I missed out on a VRX with a RA bonnet and exhaust and rear bumper. Looking at the prices here it would have cost the owner a small fortune to have them put on his VRX.

Sorry for reviving this but I cant find any relevant info. If ill pull a steering out of a RA with cruise and audio controls - will it fit my lancer plug/play ? Since I already have my stock wheel with all those controls. I just dont want that big steering wheel .... :)

Yes as far as I am aware everything is plug and play.

Paddle shifters are only for TC-SST and CVT.

I really want to do this for my VRX Sportback, I have the dodgy DIY chrome moulding, I love the look, but want it for real.

Is it possible to get a front bar of the newer model (non RA) lancers that have the chrome surround?

Yes.

You may need the VIN from a car that comes with it standard to be able to order one though, I know that used to be the case. Have a look on Carsales.com.au and you should be able to find a VIN.

If anyone's interested I'll be replacing my whole front bumper soon and my stock one has the chrome ring although it's plastic dipped black at the moment.
