Looks good Michael. You got me thinking about settling for those.

Do you think you can ask for pictures of the reverse side?

I'll ask for those tomorrow, on another note, can you get an OEM heat shield or whatever that thing is attached to the underside of the bonnet ofey?

Yes. Look at the NA->RA conversion thread for the details.

Main problem I suspect you know. That's why I'm asking for the rear side pictures so I can figure out if those fitments can go on. Perhaps you can ask if the tooling matches up.

Ben, Streetfx do mainly specialise in swift parts. However they also import and on sell to dealers a lot of EVO X copy parts including bumpers, bonnets and wings all to suit the NA body.

Hey guys

Now... I used this source. I could not find a single ADR relating to the specific material of body components. I'm a little confused. If they are illegal, can anyone point me to the actual law stating so? Cause... I found a very nice CF one. and I want it.

I have scanned AustLII.edu.au, inc the
Transport Operations (Vehicle Standards) Regulations (QLD)
Motor Vehicle Standards Act (Commonwealth)
Transport Operations (Vehicle Standards) Act (QLD)
National Motor Vehicle Standards Regulations (Commonwealth)

Also worth noting a 'defect' is essentially a criminal charge (although unconstitutional in terms of mandatory sentencing - google if you dont know what mandatory sentencing is, but basically... If someone arrested me tomorrow for stealing $200 worth of groceries under the Summary Offences Act 2005 (QLD), I'd be taken to court for the Crown to present, and more importantly, PROVE, their case. In TRAFFIC issues, they just give you an infringement notice and assume you won't fight it. Important to remember an infringement notice is nothing but an accusation - they still have to PROVE it. By just 'paying' a fine, it's a 'guilty' plea.).
Anyway, what this means is that when the Crown accuses someone of having committed a criminal offence, the onus of proof is on THEM (ie, the Crown - the Queensland Police Service in my case acting on behalf of the State Government, then Federal, then Commonwealth etc.) to proof their case beyond a reasonable doubt against (lets say me) me.
So you can basically say 'Prove it.' Just issuing you a defect is not proof, it's an accusation. And in this case... I'd quite like to see what they come up with. I've been unable to find any law, act, statute, regulation, or precedent to do with carbon fibre bonnets.
Sorry, I started to babble. I really hate traffic cops... If they had the training I do, they'd KNOW it's unconstitutional haha... I'm just waiting for one rich guy to go 'hang on a second...' and hire a QC in constitutional law a la The Castle.
