Bit of front end work done!

Postby lukeaday » Wed Feb 03, 2010 6:49 am

Finally managed to convince the missus that blacking out the front bar is a good thing. So I did it!

As well as this I added some turn buckles purely for looks. They are not done up tight. Just enough so the don't vibrate.
Makes it look fully sick!!!

Personally I would have liked the turn buckles a bit further apart, but that is just me!! Kudos for doing something a little different :)

Behind the bumper bar there is blocks of foam on the sides. I put the turn buckles as far apart as I could otherwise I would have had the fixing points between the foam block and the bumper and I would not have been able to do them up.
I may have been able to move the foam blocks but I am unfarmilular with that so I did the best I could.
The missus wants fake bonet pins next!!

just get bonnet pin stickers, best option for fake bonnet pins if you must.

You can get REAL bonnet latches that are flush and road legal... Not cheap but 10000x better than a sticker

hey i liked the look better without them there.. it just doesnt look right as it serves no purpose.. if you had a splitter there and the buckles were there to make them secure then yeh maybe.. but to me it just looks like something stuck there for the sake of it :o less is more :)

I know it may sound harsh but that's just my opinion and it's the same for all cars even mine.. some people like certain things done to it and some dont.. im just saying it would look better without it there but if you like it then i guess thats all that matters :)
