Here's a pic of the bolt up arrangement for mine..
It was definitely installed properly :) It was rear ended and the tongue of the tow bar bent up and pushed into the exhaust!
I bought the bar second hand - I know it's not a genuine Mitsi bar.

Why use relays?
They are electomechanical and eventually fail
Use a plug n play ECU based electronic kit from Aranda towbars
Very inexpensive and extremely reliable
Using relays will also place extra load on the existing wiring
The ecu option from Aranada eliminates this

Looks pretty simple to bolt on.

Still waiting on a reply from that one on eBay, but I'm in no hurry and with other expenses like my service and new tires this will have to wait until I 100% need it.

I used relays cause I didn't want to wait on a box - and - the relays were selected to be 10mA of draw ;) - easy as, minimal drain.
The transistors would add load to the circuit just around 1/10th of the relay - all insignificant though..
I got the relay box together the same day (saturday).

Why the relay box or the other box? Simple - they don't want the globes of the trailer (500mA + ) of load on the existing circuit - hence why the relay box is just as valid as the transistors.
