$30 centre lip DIY

Postby XTPN » Fri Mar 18, 2016 2:16 pm

Bought those universal ez-lip/rhino lip off eBay and cut it to fit between the VRX pods. Used a drill to make some holes and mounted it with zip ties. I actually like the look of the zip ties(gives it that mean look), however I am not sure how long they'll last in the sun. Might give screws a try next time. Thoughts?

Looks good, would love to try it. Can you post the eBay link?

Guess you'll know if it's not worked when you feel it going under the car one day.

Sure. Comes in a 2.35m roll, so should be more than enough.

That long you can make a few and have them on stand by, just in case LOL

Got any photos on just how you did the work?

Thanks for the link.

Thanks!

Not much except for this one:

Image

Pretty much just cut the lip to shape. Mark 9 evenly space holes on the lip(about 10cm's apart). Pierce holes with a knife and thread a zip tie through each one. Position lip against car and drill a small hole(just enough to fit zip tie) through the 9 holes you previously made, and into the body of the car. Thread the zip tie in and over the grill.

Hope that helps! Can take more pictures tomorrow if needed.
