ClubCJ - The CJ Lancer Club

So some new Fords now come with a neat feature were waving your foot under the rear bumper opens the boot/hatch.

Any one tried rigging up something like this to work on the CJ?

I would say an arduino a sensor and some wiring would be able to do the same thing all though you would have to have the sensor set to only be on with some set conditions to make sure that it doesn't pop when you are driving along.

Could be an expensive mod, it's like a $1000 option on some Fords. Not sure if any other car maker short of BMW have it on their options list. Which I find amazing as it's not new and has been out at least a year now.

I would have thought it's basically a sensor under the rear linked to your key fob and a motorized boot opener/closer.
