Suggestions for a colour - Talon diffuser

Postby Zaphod » Thu Jan 23, 2014 9:13 pm

Hi All!

I just ordered one of these:

My car is this colour:

So I was wondering whether to paint it that champagne-silvery colour as per the Talon photo, paint it the same Lightning Blue as the car, so it looks like part of the original car, or vinyl-wrap it in the same metallic gloss black as the roof & bonnet:

Let me know what you think!

Cheers!

I saw the thread before I bought it - there are others on here that report not having a problem; what I did take from Annabelle's thread was to get the diffuser fully-prepped before delivery.

I spoke to Dave at Talon and voiced my concerns - he suggested that it was worth spending the extra $100 to get it sanded, filled and primed by their guys (they don't ship a final-coated piece).

He also ran me through the installation process. He said they've sold hundreds with very few problems, but admitted they get them wrong sometimes...

Ultimately I asked for opinions on colour, not a critique of my purchasing decisions; there is no other way to achieve the twin-exhaust without either tracking down a genuine RA rear bar or replacing my perfectly-good, OEM, perfectly-fitted rear bar with a flimsy, poorly fitting chinese copy...

@Mark: Love the look of the front - have you got a pic from the front you can post?

Cheers Erin - it's important to get these things right when we have the bestest colour cars...

All I can say is good luck!!

I never got my replacement bar...I had to work with what I had. It took months of getting nowhere.

It would be interesting to see it in another colour other then black or same as car. But black is definitely good.
