Post some pics of yours, as it doesn't sound like any Aspire I've seen lol

Not saying you're wrong, just interesting how it is painted!

If you upload an image to Photobucket (or ClubCJ image hosting) you get the URL of the image and ut it between the tags so it would look like this:

Code: Select all

Ok, so are you saying that the inner grille (mesh part) is the same colour as the car, or similar to it?

I can see the outer (surround) is chrome, as are your foggies now.

But I thought the inner grille mesh was silver/chrome colour also :S

It is hard to see, but if you look at the bottom grill on the drivers side where it is solid it looks more silver then the body. It is different to S18

That is probably because the grille isn't meant to be body colour. It is meant to be a silver/chrome grille. So there would be no paint code for that.

Yes you are right, but it must have a code. All original paint have a code. The identification plate have only the body colour code on them. Mitsubishi should know the colour of the grill but they could not tell me. I was hoping someone experienced the same problem but found the answer

It is made in the factory, the plastic is that colour. It is not just painted on... Not from what I can tell anyway... Even so, a good paint shop can match it up, they have those scanning things now they use to get it perfect

You are right again. I did not think of coloured plastic. I should know too used to work as a plastics toolmaker supplying car parts. I have not seen coloured plastic on car components. I will check it out in the morning.
We did colour match the fog lamp surrounds as you can see, but would have been easier and more accurate with a code.

I'm always right :P

But I am intrigued, I'm fairly sure it is coloured in the plastic.

You supplied parts to which manufacturer?

I use to work for Exacto plastics 98-03. They recently just closed, went bankrupt :D
They supplied parts to Holdens, Mitsubishi, and Fords
