Haha!, I love the tinted look! Really gives it the sporty look!

I might just go for it, like you say, worst that can happen is they look shite and I'll splash alcohol on em and scrub em!

Cheers!

Honesty it's not worth it.
I was defected for them not long ago. It's expensive, you have to book in to a mechanic and getting of nightshade is horrible.

Please for the sack of it don't lol

Oh and to add (sorry on iPhone)

I had cops follow me too.

Funny thing with cops is they aren't all targeting everything. Cops have specific areas they target. Safely, performance, noise etc. my friend was pulled up in his highly in roadworthy rx7 and the copper gave him a warning. I was pulled up on tinted lights and he didn't defect anything else like pod filter, p plate illegal mods etc.

Isn't it alright to tint the lights so long as the brightness isn't affected?

Hi guys, i am currently doing a Vinyl Kit for the Sportback taillights. I am still working on the Templates. They are a Matte finish vinyl with L.E.D sizes holes through them that give the effect of individual .L.e.d's. I will post up a pic when i get them from Mitch that were taken Tonight. Only have the Reverse light done so far. Also I will have available a masking kit for spraying night shades. The good thing about the vinyl is that it's easy to remove. Ill try and keep you posted or just PM me guys. Cheer's

Here are a couple of pics from last night (Thx Mitch) It doesnt give a real good indication but it giies the general idea and the .l.e.d sized holes are more noticeable in real life. Also the vinyl is more of a Matte finish than the pics show. It is proving to be a lengthy and expencive process with having to trial all the templates with actual vinyl.
I should have the indicator vinyl finished by this weekend.
If anyone has feedback or design ideas please let me know as i will be making this kit available.

One idea:
Could you go black for the outside and say a lighter grey colour for the inside where the lights are???

Yes...could do something like that...the only problem is installing the vinyl on the taillight and im trying to keep it simple so anyone without wet vinyl app experience can apply them. I have thought about the Negative style rap ie: Black surround but it would mean taking the 4 taillights out and applying the vinyl. I will be looking at doing the "pretty" work like brushed alloy trim surrounds around the overlay after i get the graphic/template rite.
And yes...it's proving to be a big process in getting the templates just rite in that i have to work out how much bigger they need to be to cover all the angles so you cant see the lense from the side or above. So its a matter of tweek the graphic...cut a template...apply it...remove it...tweek the graphic...cut a template...apply it...remove it..u get the picture lol. And there is 5 (five) templates to be done ! I think so far its taken about 7 hrs 2.5 mtrs of vinyl and about 2500 curse words lol...and not quite half way there on just the templates. If you have any more ideas you can give me a call on 0468 385 976 (I sometimes only check my PM's once every 2 weeks. I will get more pics up when i have some better ones that show what they really look like. But i think it's about time there is something available for the Sportback taillights so....Ive taken on the challenge ...A lot bigger than o thought it would be though but I want it to work Cheer's
