I just found something cool on ebay. I dont know how to get link. But they were lights that fitted in the roof handle for vz commodore. If these handles bolt on to the lancers, then I could use these and would not have to cut roof lining or could return back to standard.http://www.images.clubcj.net/results/20 ... 8c1_12.jpg

The recess into the grab handle area in the Commodores...

You could get them to recess in the middle of our grab handles

I assume I would have to cut a slot in mine to make these fit?
I will go to a commodore wreckers to inspect their handles, they could not be to different to ours.

I'm pretty sure the Commodore has them recessed in the lining, no I think more about it...

Might have to go to a Holden dealer and sus it out!

Yes a holden dealer should be able to tell me. On ebay it says
BRAND NEW

GENUINE REAR ROOF MAP LIGHTS

THESE MAP LIGHTS SIT IN BETWEEN THE ROOF HANDLE

AUCTION IS FOR A PAIR 2X LIGHTS, GLOBES INCLUDED

SUIT VY-VZ MODELS
My mate has something simular on his vs and yes they push into a plastic surround glued into the roof lining.
It would be a shame to have holden parts in the aspire though. :P

im sure loads of cars have rear passenger lights like you are trying to fit, but just so you know, TS astras (98-04) have them too. might be a cheaper alternative from a wrecker than commodore ones.
