Aftermarket seats

Postby Superfly » Tue Sep 29, 2009 8:35 pm

Hi all.

Am looking to upgrade my crappy ES seats to some aftermarket buckets and am wanting to get an idea of what others have done on this front. Any pics would be great as it's hard to get an idea of what would look good from a website picture of a seat by itself. Thought of getting Recaros but don't want a second mortgage to afford them. Any info would be great!

Superfly, if you wanna go all out man, check out autoimage interiors. They do work for our club sponsor preston motors mitsubishi. Ive seen his work and its top notch. He can add bolsters to your current seats and totally re trim them in any colour or fabric you like

I got a quote from him today for the similar work he does for preston motors with the side and upper bolsters, full leather with double stitch and door inserts and he said you would be looking at around $2500-$2800

And if your just looking for a retrim with the same shape etc, your looking at around $2200-$2500. Quite alot cheaper than i expected to be honest.

Hes in inglewood drive in thomastown from memory, you should check their work out

Thanks guys. The Isotta's look like the way to go. I've checked out the website Infinite and now just gotta decide on a model.

Yeah, the X factor leather does look really nice. Pattern 2 is my favourite.

Honestly didn't even think about it. Had a look a minute ago and they do look good, however my big issue with the seats at the moment is that they don't offer any support. These X Factor seats are covers so would they actually make much difference to the comfort? I'll have to investigate.
