Door trim 'strips'

I was told I need to remove the door trim to get the decorative trim off the doors but just saw this YouTube clip which shows they pull strait off.

Is this true for all CJs or just the ones sold in the US of A?

Have seen a number of videos of this, there are some on our forums
and all I've seen show removal of decorative trim being unnecessary :) .

Would it not be the same as the trim along the dash? Just clips, it could be secured with small screws from the back of the door panel though.

Looking on Partssouq.com there doesn't appear to be a separate part number for that trim on the door panel though. Scroll down to 43-160 for the front door schematic.

Plug in your own VIN for a full epc of your car =)

Thanks for the link, interesting its not listed and sold as part of the whole door trim.

Is the CJ any harder to get the door trim/card off than other cars? I've done it on a few in the past.

Looks like a couple of screws and the usual push clips, there was a picture of the door off in the Stereo and AV thread, maybe someone has done a write up on changing the speakers and it is in there?

Spear size is dictated by how much damage do you want to do to your passenger.

Speaker size however seems to be 6.5" from this thread http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=479&p=14236&hilit=speaker#top

Dont forget you will need speaker adaptors to suit cos the lancer uses a silly proprietary 3 lug contraption to hold the speakers to the doors

When to the workshop section and say this image, to me it looks like the trim does remove without screws.
