You can buy custom seat covers for the lancer from Autobarn. They are around the $200 mark. They are 100% Australian made. From memory the company is called "seat cover world" who sells them thru Autobarn. There ia a decent variety of colours you can get and they are all airbag compatable. As mentioned you wont find them with the logo on it

Other then fuddy duddy sheepskin seat covers, all the other seat covers I have seen have inferior material on sides and back which deteriorate
in no time at all finishing up a sloppy mess .

Are the neoprene ones from Mitsubishi any better in this respect.

For comfort I'd say sheepskin, pity their appearance is unfashionable. in the past have had them and with a bit of bolstering under them finished up with very very comfortable seats. :D

Had some sheepskins in the CC coupe, very nice. Still got them in a box some place, not suitable for the airbags in the CJ.

If it was me I'd find some good quality leather seats at the wreckers, also means a heated seat upgrade. Prices will vary and can be well over $1000 for the set.

I want the Neoprene ones but they are still expensive at over $600 for the front and rear.

The Neoprene are good but as stated really expensive for what you get. Mine have faded even with darkest legal 'Midnight Express' tint and the stitched Lancer logo has yellowed somewhat. But they are water proof and clean off very easily.

Only thing is I'm not sure if there are different versions for the different seats, standard vs sports style. After putting in the sports style the covers don't fit the base bolsters very well and tend to pull up at the corners but it's only a minor issue that you only know about if you look for it.

I had heard they will fade even with window tint these neoprene ones.
My seat covers have not faded. Mind you they are non genuine and not neoprene either
