Migh sound like a noob, but i got a OEM diming mirror for my lancer, but I can't work out the wiring. I got 3 wires, black (ground, gray and brown. I made some researches and seems that gray and brown should be: one constant 12v and the other one acc.
Also tapped one of the wire to hazard fuse (I believe is a constant 12v) and the other one to cig lighter fuse. And the black one is tapped to the one where is the interior light ground wire.
And it seems the mirror still doesn't get power. Not sure how to yell if it got power ether. Looks like it has 2 LED on the front and one to the back of the mirror

Your wiring sounds okay, I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working..sounds stupid but have you shone a torch into the sensor to see if it does anything? Perhaps the ground you've done isn't adequate?

Also, you're right in thinking that hazards are constant 12v.

It is a OEM mirror, the RA that I'm wrecking had it. I was hoping to have the plug adaptor in mine, but even the fuse box where goes in doesn't exist in my RA. Also it had a wired box above the interior map lights and looks from what I can describe like a box with 5 sensors or microphones in it. I guess is part of the alarm system
@ CJsortsback, never tought to try the trick with the torch. I'll give it a shot tomorrow. Cheers

If its the same as this one maybe the internal battery is flat.

I believe that one is wireless and is powered by a internal battery

Hi just wondering do you have the oem part number for the mirror, I like the idea of them and want one for my evo x

The 2 windows at the bottom are a green led when on (left) and the other is a light sensor for cars behind.

Mine is a little different as it has the image for the reverse camera integrated so has a power button in the middle (turns image off and led goes orange when in reverse) so unfortunately can't confirm the pin configuration.

Adam,I had a look but I can't see a part number anywhere

@Mooman, all good, I will have to replace the wires to see how that goes, as when I pulled the wires from the other car, I had to use a bit of force.

seems reason for connection to acc is to have it become operative only after ignition is turned on. the way you wired it up
will need the hazard switch to be turned on before it will work. Not exactly desirable? Could possibility connect to anything else
that turns on with the acc, correct side, unless you want the possibility of it being turned on permanently, even when car not in use.

No v good on electrical side, but I tough if the hazards are operating without ignition to be in ''on" position, they should have constant 12v, interrupted by the switch button on the dash

Sorry I'm late to the party, but you are sort of correct with the wires, black is ground, I think brown is ACC and the grey is to Reverse power, and no LED light shows on the front when powered on, they are both sensors, the reason for the reverse power is so when you select reverse the dimming goes off, if you connect it to constant power it will not let the mirror dimm.
