So did some searching and couldn't find the old thread, might have been lost in the transfer?

Just clarifying we can use the Instrument Cluster from a Outlander ZH in the CJ, need to know before buying.

I know the speedo needs changing to match and have some leads on that in Brisbane but was hoping to get the cluster then fit it later, even if it's a few months time.

Just look at the back of both clusters if the plug is in the same spot with identical pins and the unit itself fits the rough dimensions then it should plug and play.

Sorry got this sorted back in June, one of my best mods to date. So surprised Mitsy still used the red ones for so long after they had the colored ones in the line up. Better layed out with more info on the main screen, still a far cry from some of the latest one in new cars today.

This item is for part number 8100B197
It is a colour display. There is photos of it in this thread (view in chrome for translation )

Hope this helps someone wanting to go colour
And after reading thru lots of threads here on the forum, if you talk to these guys in Brisbane

autostarsky.com.au/

They can reprogram it for you. You can post the cluster to them. They reprogram it and you pay post and get it sent back to you.
All sorted

Red line is 6500r so I'm making the assumption it's not from a diesel. Looks identical to all the ASX ones I've looked at.

The diesel redline is 4500rpm so the instrument cluster you have is for a petrol.

Wouldn't be easier to change the colour of the LED's rather then changing the whole unit?
Is there anyone in Melbourne that does this sought of work.

Personally my biggest beef with the instruments. Is its impossible to read the speedo due to reflection in daylight, when the sun is at a variety of angles.

Om glad you asked.if you read my posts above there is a link to a site with photos of the full colour display.
As for anyone in Melbourne you will need someone who has a programmer they can plug into the car.its probably the easiest. There is instructions on this forum that shows how to do it yourself that are fairly detailed and intricate to do.
If you can find an auto lekky or lock smith who works on Mitsubishi vehicles you should be right.the locksmith has the programmer to plug into the Lancer to program the keys etc. It should also be able to adjust the kays on the clock also

I'm 99% sure its the same, mine was out of an Outlander, can't remember the year/model
