Monitor Install for a Reverse Camera

Postby porkkrop » Mon Dec 09, 2013 7:53 pm

I planned on installing aftermarket monitor and reverse camera as seen http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?t=591&highlight=monitor mounting it myself. I dont have mmcs or a headunit capable of displaying video. My question is if i install the monitor specifically for the reverse camera, is it necessary to hook the handbrake cable up to it as in the directions of the monitor. From my understanding if i do it that way, it wont have picture while the car is in motion. Also would leaving the handbrake cable unattached to the monitor, would there be any implications from insurance if something was to happen and it wasnt connected. Thanks

I've had the monitor mounted to the sunvisor and now I have to issue of it hanging down a few cm from the weight of the monitor. Does anyone have any tips or ideas on how I should be able to attach the visor bitto hold up better. I had thought of velco strips to the roof lining and visor but with the summer heat it may not be good enough to hold
