Cargo Liner

Postby Nick07 » Sun Feb 10, 2013 11:19 pm

Evening,

I'm looking at changing the boot fabric that's in my boot as it keeps sliding around and looks like a mess after I've driven for a while (occasional spirited corner :P)

Has anyone got the hard plastic cargo boot liner:

If so how do you find it, are the bumps actually rubber? i.e. how decent is it for grip?

Would I maybe better off buying a generic rubber boot liner and cutting it to size?

Thanks

Nick :D

I wouldn't mind getting one of these myself.

Anyone who has one, can you also tell us how much it weighs?

Bought one last week from Mitsubishi, will set you back around $100...
Really happy with it so far, pretty sure the bumps are just hard plastic but I will double check. Does the job anyway, I had a bunch of fishing gear in boot yesterday and had no problem with it sliding round. Also its not heavy at all.

They're only A$88 through me.

BUT

Couriering it anywhere across Au is PROHIBITIVELY expensive!
Those in SA who want one should consider getting some of the VIC boys to drive one to you at the National Meet.

Yeah the dealer here wants $110 + GST - guess I'll do a bit of shopping around. I'll give some other dealers a call and see what prices they have it for, hopefully can get a deal.

If you can let me know that would be great :D

It's not really hard plastic and you can cut it to size if you have a Rockford sub in the back.

Anyone bought one of these:

Looks like a decent alternative.

Cheers for the reply. I've definitely got to find an alternative to the current liner, it's terrible. Everything keeps sliding around.

I was going to get one of the OEM boot mats but I bought a rubber boot mat from super cheap auto for $25. They have a few different sizes at different prices.
