WTB: Strut Brace and Rear Sway Bar

Hi,

I wanted to buy a strut brace and a rear sway bar to fit a 09' Lancer RX.

I don't know much about sway bars but I'm generally looking for something to stiffen up my back suspension to stop my back wheels scrubbing. Feel free to link me appropriate eBay listings.

(Yes my guards are rolled and I will get lower profiles when i need new tyres. They only scrub when I have a full car of boys)

Thanks!

I have a whiteline strut brace and rear sway bar.

I have a front sway bar still on backorder.

the whole kit cost me 480$ as i got 100$ off on ebay birthday + a seller had a special on.

average prices for whiteline gear is around 300 per part.
Would recommend the whiteline strut brace even over OEM VRX or RA brace anyday.

keep in mind that if you do go whiteline for your rear sway bar make sure they throw in their lateral locks for free. otherwise the sway bar will make loads of noise.

As the sway bars are adjustable if you run on the most aggressive settings you will wear out your stock end links pretty quickly.

I've got a UltraRacing 2 Point Front Strut Bar paid $150 for it brand new off eBay. It shipped really fast even to the NT, it's great quality and fitted perfectly. Took me about 5 minutes to install before work. It should fit your car. The handling around corners is vastly improved and you definitely notice the difference. Very happy with it money well spent.

Hey guys,

I mainly want to lessen the body roll affects from my '13 lancer es and I'm not to concerned about improving handling around corners so should I look into a sway bar (front, back or both?) or a front strut bar? or both?

@Swerve: I was looking at that exact ebay listing.

Thanks!

IMO the rear sway bay makes the biggest difference.

but even just doing the front strut brace you will see some improvements. mainly the car not driving like a boat around corners.

just note that newer base model lancers do not have a rear sway bar at all and the suspension is different.
I do not think it is possible to fit a rear sway bar on those models due to a different suspension design.

Okay I'll start of with adding a front strut brace because it's an easy install. Then, i'll find out more info on adding a rear sway bar for my car.

What's your opinion on buying a second hand strut brace, like from the wreckers? Is it something that can void the warranty?
