Well after much deliberation ive decided its probably best to buy a wreck instead of a manual conversion kit. So let me know what you have. Preferably in QLD/Brisbane although for the right price i will buy interstate (about 1k to ship from sydney to brisbane to keep that in mind for pricing)
Probably have a budget of around 2k give or take.
As long as it has a good gearbox and associated stuff for a conversion im gucci, so let me know what you have for how much and where.

you shouldnt need to replace the instrument cluster, its managed by the etacs ecu, which tells it if the car its in is manual or auto. i replaced my cluster with one from an auto asx, works fine and my car is manual

with that list your probably better off buying a wreck?

Yeap, cluster is not needed. Also you don't need complete engine harness, only half of it. There are 2 connectors on the ECU, you need to replace only one of these harnesses which is going to the CVT.

ECU swapping is not that simple, I suppose that only ROM rewrite will be enough.

Changed to buying a wreck instead of conversion kit. Hopefully someone wil have something, local wreckers and ebay/gumtree have nothing locally

The black VRX stat writeoff on Thursday is likely to go cheap.

That black VRX is still there at pickles. Due again on the 27th.
Want it bad, would be perfect but cant get to a thursday auction, whether it be there in person/online etc damn work. Would get it for a steal too if its still there and nobody has placed a bid yet? UGH

Let me know how you go on the wreck.
I dismantled a X GSR 5MT and I have the shifter & cables, clutch pedal assy, clutch fluid line & probably the wiring harness section. I don't have the gearbox. You would need to check parts compatability between your cra and an EVO X.
A good source is:

for EVO X parts
and

to find your car

Cheers mate that will open up possibilities if it fits. I can get a hold of a motor for cheap and would just need the box then. Find out if all manuals are the same or vrx has different ratios etc.

Part numbers seem to be different for most unfortunately. =(
