Hey guys just dropping a line to say hello. Actually I have a question for everyone. Is 18x9 too big for a NA CJ Lancer? Thinking of buying new rims and I'm battling to decide wether to get 18x8 or 18x9.

Hey! Welcome

If there is a will there is a way.
It depends on the offset, but most likely for the 9 you are gonna roll the guards to make it all fit nicely (maybe neg camber).
Some people have fit 18x9 with no alterations though.

The 18 x 8 fits fine.

Hi Miguel and (WTTC)
Maybe we will see you at a Meet some day.

As for your Wheel choice .... you might be interested to know that the RTA only allows 1" (25.4mm) wider. (RTA States 26mm)

Vehicle Standards: Minor changes to wheels
Wheels up to 26mm wider than the largest optional wheel recommended by the vehicle manufacturer for the vehicle can be fitted without the need to notify the RTA.
The outside diameter of the wheel and tyre combination must be no more than 15mm over the largest diameter wheel and tyre combination specified for the vehicle and not more than 15mmbelow the smallest diameter wheel and tyre combination specified for the vehicle.

RTA Link: RTA: Guidelines for Alternative Wheels & Tyres
